Mesut Ozil is set to join Premier League rival Manchester United when his contract expires with the Gunners according to report Sportwitness.
The German midfielder is yet to renew his deal with the North London club and looks set to be sold for free next summer after a four-year stint at Emirate stadium.
The former Real Madrid star has reportedly demanded a £330,000-a-week wages from the Gunners if he is to extend his contract, but the Gunners are reluctant to yield to his demand.
According to the Sportwiness, Fenerbahce chiefs held talks with the German for a potential switch to Turkey at the end of the season. But the 29-year old midfield rejected their offer and told them:
“Thanks for your offer but I really want to stay in the Premier League. Manchester United have a huge offer for me, I’ll probably be transferred there”
However, Arsene Wenger wouldn’t want his star player to be sold to rival club and would prefer Ozil to move to La Liga.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are both interested in the services of Ozil.
Barcelona wants the former Real Madrid midfielder as an alternative to Liverpool Philippe Coutinho.
The Catalan giants are prepared to offload Arda Turan in effort to make room on their wage bill for Ozil.
