Manchester United Injury Update – Smalling, Shaw, Fellaini, Valencia & Bailly

Manchester United’s encounter against Arsenal at Old Trafford this weekend is arguably a must win for the Red Devils but they do not head into the clash in the best of shapes, in regards to injuries.

Manchester United welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Saturday and it goes without saying that the Red Devils will be desperate to claim all three points from the encounter in an attempt to turn their fortunes around.

However, United will be without a host of their key players ahead of the clash and here is an update to the current casualty list at Old Trafford –

Chris Smalling

There was a lot of storm in the media regarding Chris Smalling after Jose Mourinho publicly called out the defender for not being brave enough to play against Swansea City before the international break.

As it turns out though, Smalling had indeed suffered a broken toe ahead of the clash and Mourinho would surely have been left a bit red faced for his outburst. It is expected that Smalling will be out for at least a month due to the injury and he is certain not to feature against Arsenal.
