Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has taken to Snapchat to assure the Gunners faithful that he is recovering well and that he is in contention to play against Manchester United at Old Trafford this Saturday.
Bellerin suffered an ankle injury during last weekend’s North London derby and bruised his right ear whilst training with the Spanish national team earlier this week.
The Spaniard took to his official Snapchat account on Thursday night in which he reassured Arsenal fans that his injuries were not as bad as first feared and that he was feeling much better.
It was originally thought that the Spaniard may face a lengthy spell on the side-lines after sustaining the injuries but with Bellerin appearing to be on the road to recovery it now seems as though he could be set to make a return to the Arsenal starting eleven in time to face United.
News of the Hector Bellerin retuning to first team action will come as a blow to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho who is set to face the Gunners on Saturday.
There are few if any better right-backs in European football than Bellerin at the moment and Mourinho will be fully aware of just how key the Spaniard will be to Arsenal’s chances of leaving Old Trafford with a result.
Already sitting eight points off leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table Mourinho can simply not afford to drop any more points should he wish to make United genuine contenders for the title this season. In order to beat Arsenal Jose Mourinho will be looking to get at Wenger’s men right from the off and with Bellerin looking likely to be fit in time for the clash Mourinho’s task to take all three points away from Arsenal has just gotten a whole lot harder.
