Advantage Man United As Arsenal Suffers More Injury Blows, Six Gunners Could Miss United Clash

Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin are both doubts to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on November 19th after suffering injuries on international duty. The duo make it six Arsenal players who could be missing in action on November 19th. Mertesacker, Cazorla, Perez and Welbeck being the others.

Sanchez who has scored eight goals in thirteen appearances so far this season for Arsenal sustained a muscle injury in training whilst Bellerin was forced to withdraw from the Spanish Under-21 squad after picking up a knock on his ankle.

Both Sanchez and Bellerin have been key figures for Arsenal this season and news of the duo’s injuries will come as a huge boost to Jose Mourinho who is set to face the Gunners after the international break.

United go into the game sitting six points off Arsenal in the premier league table in eighth place and with games against West Ham, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur all to come it brings with it a must win game for Mourinho.

Despite Arsenal’s bright start to the new campaign there have been signs in recent weeks of the clubs old bad habits creeping back into their game and with the Gunners now without both Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin it bring with it a real opportunity for United to take all three points.

Arsenal may be one of the best teams in the land when it comes to attacking but when it comes to defending it is a complete different story. Shkodran Mustafi’s arrival from Valencia over the summer went some way to helping matters but Arsenal’s defence remains an issue and it is that defence which Mourinho will no doubt look to get at right from the off come November 19th.

Even without the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic the Portuguese has players in Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata who can really hurt Arsenal and should Mourinho manage to get his front three fully fit and firing it will go some way to United claiming all three points against the Gunners.
