Manchester United Suffers More Injury Blow As Another Defender Is Out For Eight Weeks

Manchester United have been dealt another injury blow as according to the SUN, South America start Antonio Valencia is out till at least December. Valencia had two days ago confirmed on twitter that he has suffered a fractured arm against Manchester City. The SUN has now put a timeline on when he will return to action.

According to the report by the SUN, Valencia will undergo a surgery and can only be expected back in December which is a news Jose Mourinho will not be happy with considering the number of injuries he already had to deal with.

Bailly only recently got injured and was also ruled out till December. And should he get picked by Ivory Coast for the Africa Nations cup in January, he can be expected not to play for United till at least the ending of February. Phil Jones is yet to play for Manchester United this season due to fitness problems.

Mourinho now has a serious selection problem in his hand. Matteo Darmian who has played in place of Valencia since the Ecuadorian was injured hasn’t covered himself in glory and has often been blasted by Manchester United fans for poor form.

The injury situation could force Jose Mourinho’s hand in the January transfer window. Already with a fully fit squad, United could still do with another centre back and with so many injures, the need for another centre back become even more urgent.
