Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on AIK Solna forward Alexander Isak after the clubs scouts were spotted watching the youngster play during the AIK’s 1-0 defeat to IFK Gothenburg on Monday night.
Isak who has already attracted interested from a host of top clubs around Europe is said to be seen by Mourinho as a future star at Old Trafford and he is ready to make a move for the player in the January transfer window.
AIK Solna are desperate to keep hold of their star man at the friends arena but would be willing to let Isak leave the club should they receive a substantial offer for the player.
Iask only broke through into AIK’s first team earlier this season but has since gone on to become an integral part of Rikard Norling’s side. His ability to glide past his opponent with ease combined with outstanding finishing makes him one of the most exciting prospects in European football and is a player who would undoubtedly be worth taking a gamble on.
In Isak Mourinho would be getting a player who could potentially become a massive star at Manchester United in the future. He would be allowed plenty of time to develop his game and when the time is right be given a chance in the first team to impress and it would then be down to the youngster as to whether he takes that chance or not.
Having included Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah in his side so far this season Mourinho has already shown that he intends on giving younger players an opportunity at Manchester United and should the Portuguese manage to persuade Isak to join up with him at Old Trafford it will only further strengthen Mourinho’s claim that he is a firm believer in giving youth a chance.
