Manchester United Fans Blast Paul Pogba
Manchester United supporters were left disappointed with Paul Pogba’s performance during the clubs 1-0 victory over neighbours Manchester City in the league cup fourth round last night at Old Trafford.
Pogba was given the freedom of the pitch by Mourinho playing ahead of Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera in midfield three but was unable to cause any real threat to Pep Guardiola’s men.
The Frenchman’s best moment of the game arguably came in the 50th minute in which he seen his shot neatly touched onto the post by Willy Caballero.
His lacklustre performance against City led to the United faithful taking to social media criticising the midfielder for once again failing to live up to the billing.
Pogba has endured a difficult start to his United career since re-joining the club from Juventus back in August. Inconsistency on the field combined with a lack of match fitness have all played a key role in the Frenchman’s tough start to life at Old Trafford and it is that combination which Pogba will have to improve on or face been dropped from Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven.
Finding Pogba’s best position on the field has remained an issue for Mourinho during the early part of the season. Thought to be primarily a box to box midfielder the Portuguese has chopped and changed his line-up on several occasions in an attempt to try and get the best out of his record signing but has so far failed to get the best out of him.
In order to take Manchester United back to the top Mourinho needs players at his disposal who are ready to stand up and deliver the goods now. He can simply not afford to have any passengers in his side and Pogba at the moment is just that.
Few if any can deny just how talented of a player Poba is but at the moment it just isn’t working and for both parties dropping him from the starting eleven could be the kick Pogba needs to get his Manchester United career back on track.

And as for Paul Pogba, how on earth have we played £89M for a player who isn’t even top 10 in the league!? He needs to step up, fast.
