Rooney Replacement? Man United Odds On To Sign Highly Rated La Liga Star

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a move for Real Madrid forward Isco in the January transfer window. Jose Mourinho is said to see Isco as an ideal replacement for Wayne Rooney who has endured a slow start to the new campaign thus far.

Real Madrid are understood to be willing to listen for offers for the player who has drastically fell down the pecking order at the club.

Bookmakers have the Spaniard as little just 5/4 to leave the Bernabeu in January whilst offering odds at 8/1 for the forward to join Manchester United.

It was no secret that Mourinho likes the Spaniard and with the 24-year-old seemingly out of favour in the Spanish capital a move for him by Manchester United or any other big club could well be on the cards sooner rather than later.

In signing Isco United would be getting a player who would be an improvement on what we already got at the club. Isco’s ability to not only score goals but provide goals as well makes him a real unique talent and one which would undoubtedly strengthen Mourinho attacking options at Manchester United.

With Wayne Rooney now heading towards the latter stages of his footballing career, United now find themselves in need of a true genuine world class playmaker in the number ten role and in signing Isco, that problem will instantly be solved. At just 24 years of age United would be getting a player who is about to enter his peak years as a footballer, we would be getting a player ready for the here and who would go straight into the team. All he needs is to be given a proper run of games and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be the man to kick start Isco’s footballing career once more.

Throughout his stay at Real, Isco has always found game time limited with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema virtually playing week in week out whereas at Manchester United he would arguably find himself as United’s main man. No longer would he be in the shadow of Ronaldo and the likes, he would be pulling the strings at number ten and as a result could finally establish his true potential at Old Trafford.
