The End Of Depay? Man United Keen On Signing £38m Star As Mourinho Phones Player

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on luring Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura to the theatre of dreams according to the players agent.

The Brazilians future at the French champions has come under scrutiny in recent weeks following the high profile departures of duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Luiz over the summer and it now appears that the winger could become the latest star to leave the Parc des princes, a club he joined in 2012 for £38m.

Wagner Ribeiro the player’s agent has claimed that Mourinho called up Moura in an attempt to persuade him to move to Old Trafford and that he is a long-term admirer of the player.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the new campaign featuring in all five of the clubs opening league fixtures and whilst they want to keep hold of their star man it is understood that they would be willing to sell the Brazilian should the receive an astronomical bid for the player.

Moura joined Paris Saint-Germain back in 2012 and has endured a fantastic stay in the French capital winning the Ligue one title in each of his four seasons. His ability to glide past opponents with ease combined with his outstanding trickery on the ball makes him a real talent for Unai Emery and one which the new PSG boss will undoubtedly be looking to keep, however should United come calling for the Brazilian it may prove to be a temptation he simply cannot resist.

Throughout his managerial career Mourinho has always had players out on the flanks who he can rely on when it matters most, from Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria whilst at the helm of Real Madrid to the more recent days at Chelsea with Eden Hazard and Willian. Mourinho likes his wingers to not only go forward but work hard for the team and in Lucas Moura he could provide the Portuguese exactly what he is looking for.

At twenty four years of age Moura is about to enter his peak years as a footballer. Having already succeeded in France at Paris Saint-Germain the Brazilian is ready to take his game onto the next level. Mourinho wouldn’t be getting a player for the future, nor a player who is past it, he would be getting a player ready for the here and now and that is what Mourinho so desperately needs in order to take Manchester United back to the top.
