Off To Old Trafford? Big Hint This 6ft 2 Tall Defender Is Set To Join Man United

Fabinho’s wife Rebecas Tavares has dropped a massive hint that her husband Fabinho is set to join Manchester United after she followed Jose Mourinho’s men on Instagram.

Rebecas began following Manchester United’s from her official Instagram page yesterday, giving the strongest indication yet that Fabinho could be on his way to the theatre of dreams.

The Brazilian right-back has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that the Red Devils have already submitted a £29 million bid for the player.

The 22-year-old still has three years to run on his current deal with Monaco, after signing for the club on a permanent basis last year and whilst Monaco are desperate to keep hold of their star man, they would be willing to let Fabinho leave the club should they receive a substantial offer for the right-back.

To add further spice to this story, Fabinho’s agent is none other than Jorge Mendes. Mendes also represents Jose Mourinho and with the pair having the same agent a transfer would be easier for both parties to negotiate and finalise.

Fabinho has already played under Mourinho at Real Madrid, where the new Manchester United boss gave the Brazilian his full proper debut for the whites in a 6-2 victory over Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu.

United have already enjoyed a successful summer in the transfer market bringing in the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly and with the rumoured arrival of Fabinho on the way, it could complete Jose Mourinho’s jigsaw puzzle.

Mourinho stated on his arrival that he needs specialists in key areas in order to make Manchester United successful again and in signing Fabinho he would be getting just that, a specialist.

The Portuguese’s lack of trust in Matteo Darmian has left the club short at right back. Antonio Valencia may have had a mighty fine start to the new campaign thus far, but he isn’t a proper right back. United need an out and out right back that can do both the defensive work and the attacking work, with Fabinho he ticks both boxes.

Throughout his time at Monaco the Brazilian has gone one to establish himself as one of the finest right backs in European football. His ability to drive forward combined with excellent defending skills makes him such a hot prospect and it comes as no surprise that Manchester United are interested in taking him on board.
