Do not adjust your screen; the images you are about to see haven’t been photos hoped nor altered with in any way. That really is Paul Pogba at Carrington training with his Manchester United team mates.

Pogba completed his move back to Old Trafford earlier this week for a world record fee of eighty nine million pounds. The Frenchman left United on a free back in 2012 to join Italian giants Juventus, where he enjoyed a successful stay winning four Serie A Titles.

Pogba was pictured for first time today since he completed his move back and was photographed alongside his colleagues, joining in the preparations ahead of the new season.

A statement on the club’s official website read that Pogba was part of the squad that featured in a training session at Carrington this morning and that he also trained with other united first team members.

Suspension will prevent Pogba from facing Bournemouth on the opening day, but he is expected to make his second debut for united against Southampton at Old Trafford on 19th August.

Manchester United resigning Pogba is a huge statement of intent from the club. In the past united have missed out on marquee names and haven’t been able to persuade them from joining other clubs, whereas this time round united have won the battle, they have been the top dog and they have been able to sign the best players available.

Pogba is one of the finest footballers in the world, who at the age of just twenty three years old can go on to become the very best. Having already shown his talent and potential in Italy with Juventus, the move to Old Trafford could have come at the perfect time for Pogba.

This will be the stage where Pogba can announce himself amongst the very best and show us exactly what he is all about. The fee paid for Pogba is irrelevant, if he can provide the goods on the pitch and help united get back to the very top, it will be money well spent.

Pogba will provide a touch of class both from an attacking aspect and from a defensive aspect to the Manchester United midfield. Mourinho talked about wanting specialists in his side and in Paul Pogba he has exactly that. Having one of Morgan Schneiderlin or Michael Carrick next to the Frenchman can allow Pogba to fully express himself in a united shirt.
