Done Deal – Manchester United Agrees Another Transfer Deal – Not Paul Pogba

There’s been no official word, but the Manchester Evening News are reporting that Manchester United have completed the signing of Brentford’s 17-year old Joshua Bohui.

The Bees’ academy player has been included in the squad picked by Nicky Butt, head of United’s youth academy, for United’s participation in the Otten Cup, a star-studded youth tournament that takes place in Holland.

Bohui comes highly rated as a product of the same Afewee Academy that Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne was a part of before Southampton spotted him. The academy’s director, Ose Aibangee had this to say on Bohui after the youngster had earned a call-up for England’s under 17s:

“Josh has been with us since he was 11 and we are really pleased for him.

“He has worked hard for this recognition and it is great to see him achieve it. Seeing a Brentford player in an England squad alongside players from Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United is a massive reward for the work being done throughout the academy.”

United’s group stage fixtures in the Otten Cup are as follows:

Friday 5 August – PSV Eindhoven 1-0 United
Saturday 6 August – United v Borussia Monchengladbach, 11:20 BST
Saturday 6 August – United v Chivas Guadalajara, 14:00 BST

The tournament also features youth teams from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Red Bull Brasil and Anderlecht.
