It’s been the world’s worst kept secret, but after months of speculation, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has personally confirmed where he’ll be plying his trade in the upcoming season. And unsurprisingly, he’s on his way to Manchester United.
The former Inter, AC Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain striker took to Twitter to spill the beans this afternoon, with a simple message to declare:
“Time to let the world know. My next destination is @ManUtd”
The club have yet to officially confirm the news at the time of writing, but an announcement that the former captain of the Swedish national side has joined United should be imminent. It’s widely expected that the 34-year old will be joining on a one year deal.
Ibrahimovic will become Jose Mourinho’s sexons signing after the capture of Villarreal’s Eric Bailly, and joins having left PSG this summer after his contract with the reigning French champions expired.
