Manchester United’s 18-year old striker Marcus Rashford has caught the eye since his debut against FC Midtjylland in March, netting seven goals including a memorable brace against Arsenal and the winner in the Manchester derby. And it’s not just the club’s coaches and fans that have been impressed by the Wythenshawe native’s talents; Cesc Fabregas, a former transfer target for United now at Chelsea was full of praise for the forward.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, the Spanish international had this to say: “He’s on fire at the moment, I really like the kid. I’ve watched him play a few times since he came though and I really like his intelligence.”
Interestingly, Fabregas also had a few words of sympathy for former Chelsea boss, and a man who has been the subject of much speculation in regards to United, Jose Mourinho. “The biggest problem was he trusted us too much, gave us more holiday because we were champions and we let him down. For that, myself and the team feel bad for it.”
