Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been refreshingly open about his options and intentions when his contract with the French champions expires this summer. Having openly expressed a desire to play in England already this year and refusing to rule about the possibility of playing under Louis van Gaal again, the Swede has confirmed that he already has several options open to him in the Premier League.
“I have had lots,” said Ibrahimovic when asked if he had received offers from clubs in England’s top league, meaning United certainly have competition should they wish to obtain the former Barcelona and Inter Milan player’s signature.
The 34-year old may not be the youngest striking option open to United should they wish to strengthen up front this summer, but notching 39 goals in all competitions this season suggests Ibrahimovic is far from ready to accept a lucrative contract in a less competitive league. “I have won a lot of trophies, but I still want to win a lot more. I want to do it wherever I can.”
