Manchester United and youth, two things that just go together. Looking to the youth coming through the ranks at the moment at Carrington, Ashley Fletcher would be one of those that you would say has a chance to make it at first-team level.
The young striker has made a January transfer window loan move over to Barnsley, who are more than happy to have secured the loan services of Manchester United forward.
The 20-year-old, who is yet to feature for Manchester United at senior level, has signed a deal at Oakwell that runs until February 6th with the club having an option to extend.
Speaking to the clubs website, Fletcher said:
“I’m buzzing to be here. I’ve come to get some league experience and help improve the team”
“Having trained with the lads this morning, I can see the quality that they bring to the club.”
Even better news for Fletcher and the fans following his loan move, he is expected to go straight into the squad to face Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon, United Ramble will be keeping a close eye on his progress.
