Luke Shaw has given Manchester United some positive news for the start of the weekend, as he has posted on social media a picture of himself in recovery in his Eindhoven hospital and also confirmed that he will fly back to Manchester with his family on Saturday.
Shaw, 20, suffered a double right leg fracture last Tuesday night during the first-half of Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven over in the Netherlands, an injury which saw the left-back go under the knife straight away. On Friday afternoon he had a second operation to close the wounds, a operation which was deemed a success and the hospital staff have given him the all clear to fly back to Manchester, on a flight that Manchester United have chartered for Shaw and his Mum and Dad who have been with him since Tuesday.
This is a great news for Luke Shaw, being back in Manchester and the start of his recovery over the next few months. There is no doubt that a double leg fracture is going to take time to heal, that physically and mentally, but Manchester United have offered Shaw any services he needs to get over this massive ordeal.
