Luke Shaw underwent his first operation on his double fractured right-leg on Tuesday night over in Eindhoven, an operation in which was deemed a success, but it was revealed by the Press Association that Shaw will undergo a second operation this coming Friday.
Shaw suffered the horrendous injury in the first-half against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, in a match that Manchester United lost 2-1 after going 1-0 up through Memphis Depay.
Shaw was fouled by Hector Moreno, who later went on to score and take the MOTM award for PSV.
After the match Moreno 27, said:
“I just feel really bad because I was involved in the accident. I feel really sorry.”
Shaw was given oxygen while being treated on the pitch for 10 minutes after Moreno’s 15th-minute challenge, and was in tears in the dressing room.
With his second operation now scheduled for Friday, there will be hope that he can travel back to Manchester over the weekend.
