Louis van Gaal tells David De Gea he cannot leave Manchester United

It has been the transfer that has been on everyone’s lips over the summer, and one that everyone had thought was done. That of David De Gea to Real Madrid was just a case of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.

But, on Thursday evening during Spanish show Jugones, they claim that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal had stood his ground on Monday when the players returned to pre-season training, stating that David De Gea could not move to Real Madrid, a statement that he made to David De Gea himself when asked if it was possible to leave the club.

David De Gea’s desire to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid is clear and has been all summer, his dream of moving back to his home country, and closer to his girlfriend also.

But, Louis van Gaal and Manchester United are ready to play hard ball to any Real Madrid bid that does come in, standing firm on how much the club want and will not take anything less.
