As we come to the final weeks in the Barclays Premier League, the transfer rumours are inevitably going to start. That is no different this week as Louis van Gaal & Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay up to £65million for the attacking duo of Memphis Depay (PSV) and Edinson Cavani (PSG), according to report in UK publication The Express.
It is no secret that the Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is known fan of Memphis Depay after introducing him to the world on an international stage in last summers World Cup, a championship in which Louis van Gaal led the Netherlands to third place, behind Argentina and Germany. The linking to Edinson Cavani has been one that started when Louis van Gaal joined Manchester United last summer, and before they opted for the loan period, which is undoubtedly over soon, for Radamel Falcao.
Memphis Depay has had a fantastic season over in the Eredivisie, with the winger currently top scorer. No doubt he would be a fantastic addition to Manchester United in the summer, with the club likely to spend big to challenge for the title next term in the Premier League.
Edinson Cavani reportedly is already to leave France this summer, with the Uruguayan forward unhappy over at Paris Saint Germain.
After reports this week that Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao are to leave at the end of the season, Depay and Cavani would be fantastic replacements.
Manchester United are hoping that bids of around £20million for Memphis Depay, and £40million for Cavani will be enough to prize them away from their current clubs.
