Ander Herrera has hailed Manchester United’s away support after he himself got the ball rolling on a FA Cup come back against Preston North End in the FA Cup at Deepdale on Monday night.
Louis van Gaal seemed to have listened to the fans on Monday, by giving the Spaniard a rare start, a start in which he made the most of by scoring Manchester United’s equalizer after an hour, sparking the come-back from United.
After the game, Herrera said the following about the travelling Manchester United supporters:
“They’re always fantastic. They supported us during a tough time and we’re grateful.”
“We have very good players and staff and we are going to improve.”
Another Manchester United outcast of the past, Marouane Fellaini had a fantastic game also, scoring the second of United’s 3 goal away from home. United boss Louis van Gaal expressed his joy at Fellaini’s goal, stating “I liked that a lot. We’ve practised that in training.”
Manchester United now face Arsenal in the next round.
