PRESSER: Van Gaal speaks out, Falcao needs to prove himself

Louis van Gaal has today spoken out at his press conference at Carrington, on various subjects surrounding this weekends fixture against Queens Park Rangers, but comments on loanee Radamel Falcao will take all the headlines tomorrow.

Falcao was told last weekend that he was not in the 18-man squad to face Southampton at Old Trafford, after playing five-matches for United. Since then, rumours have been circulating that Falcao could not be the right player for Manchester United when the chance to buy him in the summer comes about.

In today’s press conference at Carrington, Louis van Gaal sent out a cry that Falcao needs to prove himself. He said:

“If a player costs £95million or £5,000, it doesn’t make any difference. You have to prove yourself.

“A person of £95m has to prove himself also. If I am like that maybe he has less motivation. But I have to be like that”
