Manchester United have been hit with some further good news today as Brazilian right-back Rafael Da Silva confirms that he will return to training with Manchester United at Carrington this morning, after having surgery on a fractured cheek-bone in which he suffered against Yeovil last weekend.
Rafael Da Silva was substituted by Louis van Gaal at half-time during the 2-0 win against Yeovil, and will wear a protective face-mask both in training, and if he features against Southampton on Sunday.
It was on Tuesday morning that Rafael went under the knife on his cheek-bone, and posted a picture from his hospital bed on his instagram account.
Rafael said: “Operation was perfect back training normal with mask on Friday very happy. Thanks god for everything.”
