Manchester United are said to have offered Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdez a 1-and-a-half year contract to keep him on at the club after having trained with them for the past few months.
Victor Valdez has been training at the AoN Training Complex after being invited to keep his fitness up by Louis van Gaal, but that fitness regime has now got the 32-year-old a contract with the red half of Manchester, becoming the clubs number two if accepted.
Valdez, training alongside David De Gea, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos had recently stepped up his training schedule following his cruciate ligament surgery, even featuring in Manchester United’s behind-closed-door matches at Carrington. The former Barcelona shot stopped has been training with Manchester United since the end of October 2014.
There is no doubt, if Valdez does accept the offer, he will be a fantastic back-up to David De Gea, if United’s number one does get an injury or is in need of a rest.
Mundo Deportivo reporting Victor Valdés has accepted Manchester United's offer. Will join club on two-year deal.
