United transfer target calls his current club ‘Pathetic’
Man United were put on high alert after transfer target claimed his current side Dortmund are ‘pathetic’ after a 2-1 defeat away to Werder Bremen.
Borussia Dortmund are currently second from bottom in the Bundesliga. Quite a turn around after being runners up to Bayern last season. This current form has caused outrage from the manager Jurgen Klopp, more importantly, Mats Hummels who has been an occurring name on United’s transfer list since their own dip in form.
The German international said “We’ve managed pretty well at home in recent weeks, but not at all away. It’s pretty astonishing that we are so pathetic.”
Dortmund who qualified for the last 16 in the Champions League have found it extremely difficult to take this form into the league. This coming at the right time for United, who are struggling with injuries at present, as well as missing a commanding centre half since the departure of Nemanja Vidic who left for Inter in the summer.
So with things not going right in Germany for Hummels, will he be looking for a quick getaway to Manchester in the January transfer window? Van Gaal, I’m sure would be more than willing to lead the way.
