On the final day of the summer transfer window, Manchester United look to be done with the final inbound transfer being that of Daley Blind from Ajax. But now, Louis van Gaal and Ed Woodward are already looking ahead to the January transfer window but placing Kevin Strootman on top of that list, preparing a £25million bid.
Manchester United have spent a mere £146.3 million during this transfer window, with the £13.8million transfer of Daley Blind set to be completed this morning. But now, the attention turns to the out-goings of the club on the final day of the window, with Shinji Kagawa, Javier Hernandez and Tom Cleverley set to see the door out of Old Trafford.
Looking ahead to the January window, Kevin Strootman has emerged as Ed Woodward’s and Louis van Gaal’s, depending on a successful recovery from the cruciate ligament injury which he sustained in March. AS Roma are expecting Strootman back playing in November, with Manchester United making an official bid at the start of the window.
