After Manchester United have spent a British record £59.7million on Angel Di Maria, it seems that it will not be the only transfer between United and Real Madrid this week. The La Liga giants are in talks with United to sign their Under-21 right-back Guillermo Varela.
Guillermo Varela was David Moyes’ first signing as Manchester United manager, and since then the 21-year-old has featured mainly in the clubs under-21s, after signing from Penarol for £1.75million.
Real Madrid are said to be interested in Varela to join up with Zinedine Zidane and their B team Castilla.
Sources close to the club say that Madrid have enquired about Varela for a loan move for the right-back, with a view to buy in a deal that could be worth up £4million.
