Juventus reject £32million bid from Manchester United

It has been the transfer that all Manchester United fans have been hoping for this summer, the one of Arturo Vidal to Old Trafford. Before Friday no word of an official bid had come to light from both Juventus or United, but in the latest reports, Ed Woodward and United have started the ball rolling with a £32million bid.

The latest reports, in Chilean newspaper El Mercurio lead with the fact that Manchester United have submitted a bid for Arturo Vidal, one of £32million plus out of favour striker Javier Hernandez.

El Mercurio broadsheet translated by the ever reliable Tom Coast on social media:

The Juventus star has been one that has been on top of Louis van Gaal’s transfer list since joining Manchester United as manager after a successful World Cup with the Netherlands, but a deal might be harder that one thinks with the Italian champions.

With just ten-days left in the summer transfer window, the report states that this will be the final official bid from United, but Juventus will be holding out for more money for Arturo Vidal, they are valuing the midfielder at £40.5million.

Arturo Vidal would become Manchester United’s most expensive player if their final bid is accepted, hopefully moving to Old Trafford to bring some stability to the clubs midfield, a position that has needed addressing for years.
