The signing of Wilfried Zaha for £15million from Crystal Palace last January was one that was met with excitement, but it is coming more apparent that Zaha will be on the move again from Old Trafford for the new season in another loan move.
Newcastle United are reportedly currently leading the race to sign Wilfried Zaha, even on a permanent move if they can persuade Manchester United to let him go at a cut down price.
Wilfried Zaha was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing as manager of Manchester United, spending £15million on the winger, then he was loaned straight back to Crystal Palace to aid them in getting up to the Barclays Premier League.
Zaha spent the end of last season on loan at Cardiff City, a loan move that didn’t really take off with rumours that he was not performing in training, spending most of his time on the bench for Solksjaer’s men. This summer he travelled with the Manchester United squad to the USA but didn’t get as much game-time as he would’ve liked, to impress Louis van Gaal.
The Mirror report that Alan Pardew is keen to bring Zaha to the Toon and are prepared to pay up to £7million, but it is not only Newcastle after the winger, Nottingham Forest are also interested.
