It has been a whirlwind summer for Louis van Gaal, taking on the Manchester United job while still in charge of the Netherlands national side for the World Cup over in Brazil, leading them to an impressive third place finish.
After the World Cup, Louis van Gaal flew to Manchester for just two-days before he was off again, this time as manager of Manchester United as they embarked on their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
While away, Van Gaal had left all moving and property developments to his wife, Truus, who purchased a house on the edge of Alderley Edge in Greater Manchester.
After a successful pre-season tour with United, winning every game to be crowned International Champions Cup Winners, he, and the United squad returned to Manchester on Tuesday afternoon.
After giving the players and staff the day off on Wednesday, Louis van Gaal himself had some alone time with wife Truus, spending the evening at San Carlo restaurant in Manchester town centre.
All the players and staff are to report back into Carrington on Thursday morning, in a rumoured meeting week where Louis van Gaal will inform those players that are not required for the new season, that they are free to leave the club.
