Manchester United completed a fantastic performance on Saturday night to beat Real Madrid in Michigan 3-1 with a double from Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez finishing off the Spanish giants late in the game, a result that see’s Manchester United into the final of the International Cup against Liverpool on Tuesday morning.

After first thought that he wouldn’t feature, former red Cristiano Ronaldo came on as a second half substitute, much to the delight of the record 109,000 crowd in the US.

Ronaldo was unable to influence the scoreline though, as Tyler Blackett and the Manchester United defence did well through-out the second half to keep out Real Madrid and their number of stars from scoring.

After the game, Cristiano Ronaldo was re-united with many of his former Manchester United team-mates, even signing a shirt for Darren Fletcher, which is more than likely a present for someone back in Manchester. United striker Wayne Rooney was also happy to grab a chat with his former squad member.
