Louis van Gaal looking forward to Liverpool final clash

It has been a fantastic pre-season for United thus far, reaching the final of the International Cup on Tuesday morning, and Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that it is of course, better for United to come back to England with the trophy than Liverpool.

Manchester United have prepared for the new Premier League season well under Louis van Gaal, beating LA Galaxy, AS Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid in the process, now they travel to Miami to take on bitter rivals Liverpool in the final.

Now of course, this match is just a ‘friendly’ as written down on paper, but Louis van Gaal and the fans are not seeing it that way, we want to win, at any level of football a must win over Liverpool is a must.

Louis van Gaal, speaking to reporters after Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Real Madrid, said:

“It will be another preparation game for us but it’s better to win than lose.

“It’s good for English football – I think it’s very important that two teams from the Premier League shall play in the final.”

The final of the International Cup kicks off at 1am BST on Tuesday morning over in Miami.
