Manchester United’s under-17s couldn’t of hoped for a better start to this summers Dale Farm Milk Cup over in Northern Ireland, smashing 11, yes you really did read that correctly, eleven goals past Gold Coast Academy.

Manchester United got off to a great start in their defence of their Dale Farm Milk Cup Premier Section title with an emphatic 11-0 (eleven) victory over Gold Coast’s academy.

Manchester United started off their scoring with a fantastic free-kick from young Marcus Rashford, opening the flood gates for the youngster from Manchester.

It wasn’t long before United were two, then three up, both goals from the clubs trialist Ogo Obi.

Marcus Rashford grabbed his second of the match before Demetri Mitchell calmly rounded the Gold Coast Academy keeper to make it 5-0 going into the half-time break. A more than impressive half for the young reds, but were they finished there … certainly not!

Man of the moment Demetri Mitchell scored his second of the match to make it 6, then he bagged his hat-trick to make it 7 for Manchester United. With three goals to his name, Mitchell was not finished there, grabbing his forth goal of the match after an assist from substitute Dearnley.

Zak Dearnley then scored himself to make it 9-0 to Manchester United before Travis Johnson received the ball, taking it past three-players before slotting home to make it 10-0, the embaressment for Gold Coast Academy continued as United’s Thompson made it 11-0 three-minutes before the end of time.

Manchester United 11 – Rashford (2), Obi (2), Mitchell (4), Dearnley, Johnson, Thompson.
