Manchester United set to bid £40million for Juventus midfielder

Vidal, Carvalho, Vidal, Carvalho and now Vidal again! These two players have been consistently linked with Manchester United for the best part of a year but it seems Ed Woodward and Louis Van Gaal have finally made their decision.

According the Daily Express, United have been told by Juventus that they can move for the Chilean ace but for no less than £40 million. This is a sum that the club can afford in a summer were they mean business.

Despite this being positive news, a deal for the player  would still be very difficult to complete due to wage demands and strong interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich who can both offer Vidal what United, at least for one season, cant; Champions League football. Rumours persist that Vidal would be willing to sacrifice a year away from European competition to join the exciting new project occurring at Old Trafford which will be music to the ears of everyone involved at United.

A lot of transfer activity could occur between United and Juventus this summer with Nani, Evra and Pobga all heavily linked with moves between the two clubs. This gives both sides good bargaining positions thus expecting any movement on the Vidal deal in the near future could be optimistic but fans can be quietly confident that Woodward will use all his power to pull it off.
