Ed Woodward has finally made it back from Australia. With the signings of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw Woody has already doubled his productivity compared to last years summer transfer window. Ed Woodward has finally delivered and it dosent look like he is ready to stop yet. The media is also doing a fine job of linking Manchester United with every single player in the world, now with United actually signing players why would they stop with the speculation. Last 24 hours saw United linked strongly with Arturo Vidal and Stefen De Vrij. Both players are currently with their national sides at the World cup so it is unlikely that any deals will be made at the moment. Let’s look at where these rumours are coming from.
Stefen De Vrij
Rumors that United have agreed a fee with Feyenoord for 22 year old Defender Stefen De Vrij has been in strong circulation for the past two days. The Whole story originates from a simple act by Ladbrokes, Suspending betting on De Vrij to Manchester United. Ladbrokes claim that a fee has been agreed between Feyenoord and Manchester United. No other media outlet has yet reported thisto be true yet..Common Ladbrokes the least you could do is link us to these reports you claim exist. Italian media were reporting that he was on the way to Lazio before the world cup but those claims seem to have died out. Though there are no media reports that a fee has been agreed for De Vrij, many have speculated that the young defender could be a transfer target for Manchester United.
Ladbrokes are saying Stefan de Vrij will sign for Manchester United. Not seen anything anywhere else to suggest this is actually true.

After a few days without rumors linking Arturo Vidal to Manchester United they are back thanks to the Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport. They claim that Juventus are expecting Manchester United to bid for Arturo Vidal soon. British media were obviously going to pick up the story with the Daily Mail, Daily Star and Daily Mirror all reporting the story. Another report coming out from Italy by Tuttosport claims that a huge summit has taken place in Brazil amongst representatives from different clubs and the Chileans agents. The report claims that united are willing to offer £3o million+ Nani for the services of Arturo Vidal. Tuttosport claim that Real Madrid are United’s biggest competitors for the signature of Arturo Vidal.
