Louis van Gaal and Manchester United could announce their first signing of the summer transfer window as soon as today if all the logistics are agreed to bring 24-year-old Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao to Old Trafford.
The deal has literally come out of nowhere over the past 24-hours, with the story breaking over in Spain, with the British press soon to cover the transfer latest.
Manchester United are set to pay the buy out clause that is in Herrera’s current contract, a fee in the region of £28million.
The deal has been triggered sooner in the transfer window due to his clause going up to around £37.5million after the 1st July.
Rumours over in Spain state that Ander Herrera is already en route or in Manchester with his agent, discussing the final stages of a new contract with Manchester United, alongside CEO Ed Woodward.
Would be a fantastic start to United’s transfer window if we can get things done and dusted and the Spainish midfielder to sign on the dotted line.
