Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has made a promise that if his Belgium team win this summers World Cup, he will shave off his iconic hair.
The 26-year-old revealed this promise during an interview with Belgian outlet Sporza. Now, we are in no doubt that it is highly unlikely that Belgium will go all the way in this summers World Cup, but stranger things have happened. Could we end up seeing a short haired Fellaini at Old Trafford next season?
Fellaini managed to net his first World Cup goal which was a headed equaliser in Belgium’s 2-1 comeback win over Algeria, after which Dries Mertens gave Marc Wilmots’ team a lead. Much like Manchester United’s season, Fellaini’s season wasn’t up to scratch. He failed to net even once and was sent off during Manchester United’s Champions League encounter against Real Sociedad.
The World Cup has come as a blessing for the afro haired midfielder and he looks to be in red hot form being played in his preferred position just behind the striker.
Can Belgium go all the way?
