Mats Hummels doesn’t rule out a Manchester United transfer in the future
The summer transfer rumour mill is well under way and none more so than players in and out of Manchester United, but in this instance, rumoured target Mats Hummels has come out to say that he would not rule out a move to Old Trafford in the future.
Mat Hummels featured in Germany’s impressive opener to their World Cup with a 4-0 win over Portugal, being forced off in the second half due to an injury. But, is Louis van Gaal looking to bring in the Germany defender this summer?
With Nemanja Vidic leaving to Inter Milan and Rio Ferdinand heading into the world of media, Manchester United would be open for a defensive signing this summer, but Hummels might not be on that list this term as he states a move is not important to him.
Hummels was asked by media about a potential move to Manchester United, in which he replied:
“I never think about that or talk about it because it is something that isn’t important for me right now.
“Maybe it will be some day, but I don’t expect it to be like that this summer.”
The transfer rumour mill is forever going where Manchester United are concerned, including today’s media reports that there could be swap for Tom Cleverley for Thomas Vermaelen on the table.
