Reports coming out of England state that Manchester United are ready to grasp the services of Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich in the start, of what will be a busy summer for the club, Louis van Gaal and CEO Ed Woodward.
Both ESPN UK and the Express have lead with the story that Manchester United have agreed terms with Toni Kroos, the the club are hopeful that they can get deals done before the start of the World Cup over in Brazil.
Kroos is not the only transfer that has been linked to be announced this week, after agreeing a fee with Southampton, Manchester United are hopeful that they can acquire the services of 18-year-old Luke Shaw.
In regards to the Toni Kroos rumours, he currently sits with one-year left on his Bayern Munich contract, so if the Bayern board are to look at things closely, they may feel the need to sell Kroos this summer to Manchester United rather than waiting to get no financial return next season, with the player likely to leave on a free transfer.
Louis van Gaal has made his transfer targets clear to assistant Ryan Giggs and the board, it is now down to the club to continue with negotiations as the new United manager must concentrate on the World Cup with the Netherlands.
Kroos would be a fantastic signing for Manchester United and this summer is already billed to be a raving successful one compared to the sham that was last summer under David Moyes.
