Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has suggested that the side value Milan Skriniar at about £100 million.
The defender has become one of Europe’s best full-backs since making the move to the San Siro club back in July 2017, with the Slovakian international having already started 52 games for the Italian club.
The 23-year-old defender has been connected with Premier League giants Manchester United, La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid and Spanish Champions Barcelona, but Inter Milan head coach Luciano Spalletti has tried to lower the interest in the defender.
He informed reporters: “If it’s FC Barcelona, the (Spanish club) will have to pay €100million and if I (Luciano Spalletti) am them, I (Luciano Spalletti) would pay a €20million tip on top. If I am Real Madrid, the €100million with a €40million tip – that is how highly I (Luciano Spalletti) rate Skriniar.”
Milan Skriniar has a deal at the Serie A club until the summer of 2022, but the Serie A clubs are attempting to offer a new contract to the full-back as the Red Devils will become much more active when the winter transfer window re-opens.
It was suggested several months ago that the Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have even seen the £60 million offer turned down from the Serie A club in the hope that the Premier League club will return with a bigger offer.
Also, Manchester United are alleged to be preparing a £40 million offer for Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam ahead of the winter transfer window which re-opens in the next few months.
