Southampton want Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez

They have been the selling club of the summer, bringing in millions of pounds in transfer fees, but now Southampton are interested in signing player, Javier Hernandez from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

Javier Hernandez’ future at Manchester United is all but at an unfortunate end, Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck are all ahead of Javier Hernandez for a first team place, also with the youth that is currently coming through the club, with James Wilson and Tom Lawrence kicking at Chicharito’s heals for a start next term.

It had been rumoured that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Mexican forward, but now Southampton show a keen interest, handing the super-sub another outlet if he wishes to stay in the Premier League.

Javier Hernandez was asked about his future after the squads victory on penalties over Inter Milan, he said:

“The future, only god knows”.

New manager Louis van Gaal said the following after being asked whether Hernandez would be leaving the club: “That I cannot answer because he is a player of Manchester United at this moment.”

The main factor of this summers window is that Hernandez does need to move away from Manchester United to get first-team football. Whether that be to Atrico or Southampton, we will have to wait and see.
