Manchester United travel to Bournemouth for the 12:30 Saturday Premier League kickoff at the Vitality Stadium.
Prior to the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given the media a team news and injury update.
The boss announced that we are still waiting on the fitness of trio Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof with little more than 24 hours to go until kickoff. Ole is hopeful they will face the Cherries. He told MUTV:
“It’s still early. Hopefully we can get them back on the pitch tomorrow.
“They got some treatment yesterday, a little bit more treatment today, a light session and hopefully they’re ready. I can’t tell you exactly now.”
Manchester United will still be without the services of Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Axel Tuanzebe.
Shaw has not featured for us since August when he picked up a thigh injury against Crystal Palace. Youngster Brandon Williams has been playing well in his position in recent weeks, whilst Ashley Young is another option at left-back on Saturday.
Nemanja Matic had been out-of-favour in recent weeks and has also been out of contention through injury over the past fortnight, whilst Tuanzebe has also been out for the same length of time. The youngster would not have been expected to start against Bournemouth. Ole said about the trio:
“Yeah, they’re not ready for tomorrow,” the manager revealed.
“Probably after the international break. That is always a risk if you push them back too early, but if we have the two extra weeks after the international break, they should all be ready for then.”
We have won our last three away games in all competitions – Partizan Belgrade (Europa League), Norwich City (Premier League) and Chelsea (EFL Cup), whilst Bournemouth failed to score a single goal throughout October. Though the Cherries have kept clean sheets in their last two games, drawing 0-0 in the league against both Norwich City and Watford.
