DONE DEAL: Man United finally COMPLETE mouth-watering £180,000 worth January transfer

Manchester United midfield maestro Marouane Fellaini has reportedly agreed terms with Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng that will see the player become one of the highest earners in world football.

The 30-year-old Belgium international midfielder penned a new two-year deal at Manchester United at the conclusion of last term that earned the player an astonishing £180,000-weekly at Old Trafford.

However, the former Everton star is now surplus to requirements since Portuguese tactician and former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho left the club in December and the Red Devils are keen to get the player off their wage bill.

The Red Devils still have to agree a transfer fee with the Chinese Super League side for the transfer to go through but Marouane Fellaini is prepared to bank an eye-watering £18million-yearly once it is sealed.

The weekly pay of the midfielder will be highly boosted to about £365,000-weekly, meaning he’ll take home about £9million-yearly after tax.

Argentina international forward and 5-time Balon D’ Or winner Lionel Messi was on about £330,000-weekly before penning a new contract with Spanish La Liga giants FC Barcelona last summer window that put him a lot closer to £500,000-weekly.

That figure is still way behind Brazilian international forward and former clubmate Neymar Jr, who banks a whopping £23million-yearly at French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

Notwithstanding, the versatile Belgian midfielder will soon be in superstar-studded company once his move to China is sealed in the next couple of hours.

National team-mates Yannick Carrasco, Axel Witsel and Mousa Dembele have all secured transfers to China and the Man United star is open to a move to the far-east.
