Premier League giant Manchester United in serious talks to tie down youngster Marcus Rashford to new long-term contract but Spanish heavyweight Real Madrid have not given up their hope of signing him at the end of the campaign.
Champions League winners Real Madrid are not backing down on their quest to lure Marcus Rashford to Santiago Bernabeu in a £100million transfer deal.
The forward is holding out on talkong terms of a fresh deal with Premier League giant Manchester United until later in the summer.
While his colleague Anthony Martial has reportedly agreed on a new five-year contract, Marcus Rashford wants to hang on before making any major decisions.
That has highly encouraged Real Madrid into believing the club can still sign the young United attacker.
SunSport disclosed back in November how Real Madrid had been in close contact with Marcus Rashford’s camp.
Rashford, 21, was then keen on a possible transfer abroad as he further unhappy under the reign of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
The England international was not getting an opportunity in his favoured Number 9 position and was willing to consider a move to a foreign league.
The players mood has changed since Ole Solskjaer took charge but Real Madrid have continued to talk with the player’s camp.
The player’s current contract earns him £60,000-weekly and lasts until the conclusion of next term with an option for the side to extend the deal by another year.
But the Red Devils want Radford on a longer deal and would be prepared to triple his pay to £200,000-weekly.
