Jose Mourinho has finally been backed to move for Chelsea Brazilian attacker, Willian for a fee around £70m. It has been rumoured all summer that Willian would be moving to the city of Manchester as Mourinho is a huge admirer of the star man.
Willian had limited chances last season amidst growing feuds with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. Reportedly, express.co.uk believes that Chelsea have been holding out the fee for the attacker and would not burge except the fee is agreed.
Having signed Nemanja Matic from Chelsea last season, a move for Willian wouldn’t come as a surprise as it is believed that the player has a fantastic relationship with Mourinho.
The Portuguese coach brought the 29 year Old attacker to England when he joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala.
Willian, spoke well of Mourinho and remained grateful to the United boss.
“There were a few conversations with my agent. I worked with Mourinho and I became his friend as well,” he explained to Goal.
“He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person. He has put his trust in me and in my work, and I was very grateful to him.
“Manchester came to me, they talked with my agent, but nothing happened, because Chelsea would not negotiate me in any way and I’m very happy at Chelsea.”
