Report making the rounds claims that Manchester United have extended the contract of three of their players until 2019.
According to report from Sky Sports, United have extended Ashley Young and Daley Blind contract until the summer of 2019.
Both players deals were due to expire at the end of the season but United have move ahead to trigger the one-year extension clause in their contracts.
The trio of Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Luke Shaw were all set to leave Old Trafford in the summer as free agent but United earlier extended their contracts until 2019.
Young has been key player for United this season, making a total of 26 appearances. The England international has been converted to a left-back and had excceled in that position.
Blind on the other hand has struggled for game time this season. The Dutch international is currently out of favour in Mourinho’s team and had been linked with an exit from Old Trafford in the summer.
On loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is the third player whose contract has been extended until 2019.
The young goalie is currently plying his trade at Championship side Aston Villa and has been a regular for Steve Bruce’s side as they chase a return to Premier League next season.
However, the 24-year old goalie could be sold in the summer with Aston Villa and Premier League side West Brom interested in signing him permanently.
