Done Deal: Man Utd Reach Agreement With Club For 28-Year Old Super Star – Player To Complete Old Trafford Move In Summer

Manchester United have reportedly agree to sell Italy international Matteo Darmian to Serie A giants Juventus when the summer transfer window re-opens.

According to Corriere dello Sport as reported by Daily Mail, both United and Juventus have agreed on the transfer of Darmian to Turin in the summer.

The Old Lady wants Darmian to replace 34-year old Stephan Lichtsteiner – who is set to leave the Turin club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

The Italy international has struggled for regular play time this season, making just 12 appearances for the Red Devils in all competition.

Antonio Valencia is currently number choice at the right-back for Manchester United and in the absence of the Ecuador international, Jose Mourinho favours Ashley Young or Victor Lindelof.

Darmian was tipped to exit United last January transfer window with the likes of Roma and Napoli linked to his services.

United however failed to sanction move for the 28-year old star, with Mourinho insisting he is a useful squad member.

Darmian joined United from Torino in 2015 in a £13m deal under the reign of Louis van Gaal and was a regular for the Dutch tactician.

Since Mourinho took over from van Gaal in 2016, the former AC Milan player has struggled for regular games time and his days at Old Trafford seems to numbered,

It is believed Darmian would fancy a move away from Old Trafford to a team that will guaranty him more regular play time.
