Young and talented Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio has as emerged as a prime target for Manchester United before the end of the month.
According to report from the Daily Star, Manchester United have tabled an offer for the 22-year old Spaniard signature.
the report also claimed that the talented midfielder/winger has informed fellow team mate Isco of a potential switch to Old Trafford.
Asensio, heralded as the next big star at Santiago Bernabeu has struggled for regular play time this season.
The highly rated midfielder was left out of Madrid’s team that defeat Deportivo by 7-1 over the weekend.
It is reported that there is a battle between Madrid’s president Florentino Perez and manager Zinedine Zidane over the future of Asensio at Bernabeu.
Perez sees the Spaniard as integral part of Madrid’s future and wants the midfielder to be given regular play time, while Zidane doesn’t think so and would want to sanction move for Chelsea’s star Eden Hazard during the summer.
However, it’s yet to be seen if Real Madrid will allow Asensio to leave the Spanish capital now or later in the summer.
The highly sought-after midfielder was handed a new six-year deal at Madrid last September, keeping him at the club until 2023 with a staggering £442m release clause.
