If the words of super-agent Mino Raiola are to be taken seriously, then Alexis Sanchez deal to Manchester United is likely going to take longer time than expected.
Earlier report from Daily Star claims that the Red Devils were close to signing the Chile international and that the goal poacher has agreed a person term with them.
They also claim that United have offered cash plus Mkhitaryan to the Gunners for Sanchez signature.
Speaking to Sky Sport News, Raiora reveals the chances of Mkhitaryan agreeing deal to join Arsenal is low.
“Sanchez is part of Mkhi’s deal. Not the other way around. Without him, Sanchez simply cannot go to United. Said Raiora.
“Mkhi’s problems at Man Utd are purely related to playing football. He has no problem with the manager. It is not personal. And he has two and a half years left on his contract. He doesn’t have to leave.
“At this moment, [chances are] low, but life is dynamic. This is a great deal for Arsenal. They need better, younger players and they have to invest. So it’s up to Arsenal to put a deal in place and right now a deal is a long way off.”
With this latest update from the Armenian’s agent, the Red Devils may need to find another alternative to lure the South American star to Old Trafford.
However, the deal could still materialize if only both parties exercise patient in sorting the problem and Arsenal are able to guarantee the £140,000-a-week star regular play time if he switches.
Latest report has it that Chelsea have also entered the race for the former Barcelona forward services.
The Blues want to send Belgian ace Mitchy Batshuayi on loan to La Liga side Sevilla but they hope to find a replacement before such decision could be taken.
