Manchester United have again been liked with January Move for Germany international Mesut Ozil.
This is according to Sky Sports which claim Jose Mourinho has reignited his interest to lure the highly creative Arsenal’s star to Old Trafford before the end of the month.
The midfield maestro is out of contract at the end of the season and he has refused to put pen to paper.
Report now suggests Arsenal could cash in on the star by letting him go this January for a fee around £35m.
Mourinho wants to have a reunion with the German star who he worked with during his reign as Real Madrid boss.
Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad this January with the like of Danny Rose, Lucas Moura, Gareth Bale and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic all linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Ozil joined the North London club in 2014 from Real Madrid in a club record fee of £45m.
Since his arrival at Emirate stadium, the sensational midfielder has been a key player for Arsene Wenger and had helped the Gunners won three FA Cups and One Community Shied Cup.
It is believed the £140,000-a-week star no longer has fate in Arsenal ambition to bring major trophies to the club and as a result he wants a new club that can compete favorable for both domestic titles and European titles.
The Gunners were disgracefully defeated by league one side Nottingham Forest by 4-2 in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Should this report hold any waters, £35m for experienced Ozil; shouldn’t be a problem for United hierarchy to sanction as Ed Woodward has reportedly given Mourinho the go-ahead to sanction a move.
We however expect medicals to take place any time soon.
